About the event
A perfect opportunity has been created here for our young people to process their feelings and regulate their emotions after their return to the school environment, which for some is also an entirely new school!
From 3pm onwards, 11-18 year olds will be invited to enjoy time with the animals here at the sanctuary, partake in some creative journalling and crafting, receive a taste of sound therapy and learn some practical skills for protecting their physical and mental well-being as they navigate their way through the new school year.
From 5:30-8pm, parents or caregivers are also invited into the space whilst we light the outdoor firepit if the weather allows or if not then we’ll keep cosy in the Komaia cabin enjoy some warm, wholesome food and make the most of the opportunity to share with each other.
